XEROX Distortion

After seeing Andre's work for Project 1, it further solidified my appreciation for distorted, scanner-manipulated type. This work is by Matthew Varker, a graphic designer in London, England.
The typeface is a bit hard to identify given its state, but I would assume it's a typical sans-serif, possibly Helvetica or Arial.
This work is part of a school project. The caption reads: "As part of a project exploring the Xerox 7835 printer and its capabilities I created this piece. Combining the manual movement of type on the photocopier with its precise printing."
The grooves and extensions of the type are mesmerizing and give this piece an allure like none other.  For my own work, it makes me want to experiment with my scanner at home!
