Why frozen food is unhealthy

This is a poster designed by Amrita Datta about the consequences of eating frozen food in today's world. The title is clearly visible and contrasts in size and color, creating a definite visual hierarchy and ease in reading the important information. The font used is is a sans serif in all caps and italics, having constant stroke weight to indicate titling, while the body or secondary information is written in a smaller size, using a book weight rounded, sans serif font.
The Grid system is also utilized in creating the poster, but what sets it apart is the physical treatment of the poster, that emphasizes and better communicates the message of the content. The designer took the liberty to freeze her poster and then break the ice above to create the effect of transparency and refraction in the real physical world. This gives the entire poster, while still on a screen, a tangible feeling as well as adds a beautiful texture of uncalculated exploration.
What sets this poster apart is how the designer has used the perfect physical metaphor to suggest how dangerous frozen food is, from the shards of ice to some letterforms being distorted with the water, it sheds light on the damage a 'transparent' yet tangible system can do to one's health, that is the effects of frozen food that seems harmless from a distance.
I would love to experiment in physical breaking/weathering/tearing/manipulation of type by adding other physical elements that one cannot control. This lack of control allows the materials to find their way into each other's narratives and may pleasantly surprise the designer with a happy accident.
