The Cork Book

This is an informational book on the Cork Oak and its versatility by Studio FM Milano in Italy. There is only one typeface being used throughout the title and subtitles. It is a transitional sans serif set in multiple weights. This book is for the nature enthusiast, it goes into detail of the Cork Oak and all of its properties and uses. The type used in this book cover appealed to me because of the unique use of hierarchy with the title and subheadings. The subheadings are set in a much smaller font and on translucent green paper, allowing the emphasis on the main title. The fact that the subheadings are on top but still allow for the title to be the main focus is a very clever use of hierarchy and will influence my designs moving forward.
