Vaadat Charigim concert poster - BRAULIO AMADO
Braulio Amado is a Portugese born graphic designer currently working in New York City. The poster above displays the manipulations of what might be a scanner. The affectations on the type show a horizontal shift, squishing and stretching the type as if its position has been manipulated on a scanner bed.
The gradations of shadow in the background is another clue that this was done on a scanner. The use of a grid in the background help accentuate the manipulations to the type.
I think this is an interesting play on legibility vs readability, where the poster invites the reader to pay closer attention to decipher the visually stimulating type.
