Musée des beaux-arts — La Chaux-de-Fonds (affiche)
These posters are made by the design studio Onlab for the « Musée des Beaux-Arts » in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. This is an example for a very clear and very organized hierarchy. This hierarchy does not work with different font styles or font sizes. It simply works with spacing and invisible lines. The font used is « uq_extendedregular » (https://www.typesample.com/samples/_ukxvj_2x). It is a transitional sans serif.
This simple hierarchy makes it very easy to catch all the informations in brief amount of time. The arrangement is dynamic and simple. It also seems very flexible because of the changeable background image.
This work will influence my work because of its simplicity and wonderful type face. It creates the hierarchy with spacing and the grid. Sometimes it doesn’t need to take much to create a good design. The rule for this week: Keep it simple and exciting.
