Pince-moi criss

I was most drawn by the box of zines by a collective of artist when visiting BANQ last week. I thought it was so appealing to ask all these different artists to make small zines about how they represent themselves. The concept was pure and very emotional for some. It was a crowded box with about 14-15 books. It was exciting to unravel and difficult to put back! Seeing all these different styles was very inspiring.

This one book in particular that I photographed above was in french and the artist had a discrete style, messy and kind of like using crayons.  I don't remember the name unfortunately. Despite these all being zines, they were tiny books with stories. Each artist worked hard on their zine and the quality of some of the pages was just too cool. Most had hand drawn illustrations and that's no surprise to me that I like to see drawings more than words haha. I think an image can have many words and so these zines drew my attention.
