Eclair Fifi + Jacques Greene @ Bambi's

This is a poster for a show at Bambi's in Toronto from 2018. The artists are Eclair Fifi and Jacques Greene. It is presented by Beau Travail! which I believe is the promoter, and Lucky Me!, which is the record label.
The main typeface is Friz Quadrata, which is a serif font designed in 1965 by Ernst Friz and Victor Caruso for Visual Graphics Corporation.
The choice of fonts is very harmonious. The main header text has a bold, more stylistic serif type while the body text is a basic font which shares similar features to Letter Gothic, Ayuthaya, Orator and Monaco.
The hierarchy of the text is well presented with the main acts in bold and in the center of the page. The justification to the left organizes the text in an orderly fashion while the scroll of text crossing diagonally offers a juxtaposition of playfulness. The background's monochromatic scheme of collaged images along with the yellow scribbles give more dimension to the visual appeal of the poster.
This work is good inspiration for working with many elements. While it could have easily been more chaotic, the designer employed tools that organized the message while still maintaining an effortless disordered look.
