Ampersand, made from balloons, by David & Conner from the "WorkGroup"

The object is an ampersand symbol made out of balloons. My best guess as to what type of typeface classification it would fall under would be as a serif. The end of the ampersand on the middle right looks like it has a cross intersection similar to a "T", which looks like a piece of a serif typeface.

When viewed from a certain angle the balloons align to reveal an ampersand symbol made out of balloons in a physical space and the balloons have been spread out at different heights and depths. It's an alternative take to physical typography, and it becomes really easy to see the ampersand when squinting too.

The process to make this ampersand was quite interesting to watch (link attached above), where one person was a spotter and the other person was manipulating the balloons according to the spotter, and it was a cool idea to layer them to really mimic the way an ampersand would be written, by following the path of balloons, resembles how one would also write it, which really enhances the idea of the balloon ampersand.

In the future, this work has really inspired me to take typography off of the paper/screen and has given me an idea in the future to possibly create posters similar to this by manipulating objects to the desired design, most likely used on something that has a lot of contrast between the positive and negative space.
