Will Grayson Will Grayson

  • Will Grayson Will Grayson a novel by John Green & David Levithan
  • Published April 2010

The typeface that is on the cover seems to be something custom because I can't figure it out. It is simple along with the cover background. The font is a sans serif with a centered book title. The book did not need a crazy cover and I appreciate that the authors made it so minimilistic. This a book about a young man named Will Grayson where author 1, John Green wrote all the odd-numbered chapters and author 2 David Levithan wrote all the even-numbered chapters. It is such a confusing book if you wander off during reading, since two authors share their pov of the character.

This is why I love the cover so much, because you literally need to differentiate both “will graysons) aka the authors writting. The name is so effortlessly shadowed by its named again, making the viewer curious as to what they will read.
This will definetly influence me to not overthink a book cover. It does not need to be intricate and busy. It can simply just be the title with a backdrop, but in this case the font and title was everything.
