Two Candy Bars
Seen above are two different examples of temperature typography. The Bounty Bar's logo exemplifies warm typography, while the Zero Bar's exemplifies cold typography.
Although the colours used on the Bounty Bar are cool, the typeface is rounded and smooth, like the inside of a coconut. The letters are presented in an organic, hand painted style. The roundedness implies asymmetry, but upon closer inspection, all of the letters sport vertical stress. The typeface has been manipulated to have rough edges with a drop shadow, creating a softer feeling typeface.
The Zero Bar, on the other hand, wears a sharp, precise, industrialist typeface. The blue outline over the thin, white letters implies the style used on 80s ski-wear.
Although the Bounty Bar's packaging has a palm tree, and the Zero Bar's has a snowflake, both candy bars further inform the consumer of an implied temperature by using typographic means.
