Kelloggs

Kelloggs is an iconic cereal brand that has been in almost every household. It is the number one leading manufacturer of cereal in canada and has even reached global consumers. The famous corn flakes made an introduction in 1914 and has since then evolved into many different forms.
Examples: rice krispies, pop tarts, eggo waffles and etc.
The story behind this flowing and round script typeface is interesting. It has been redesigned plenty of times since it's creation. It is apparently a digital touch up of the original founder William Keith Kellogg's signature. It is said that he used to sign every single product personally to authenticate its value. The logo is so simple yet it feels so nostalgic. Using only one color and that being a warm one like red, it is easily appealing to any age group, which I'm sure was intentional. The easy strokes in it serves the viewers a relaxed look, like breakfast should be.
The font is an original signature, therefore it is categorized as a logo and not a font. However there are many similar fonts to this one, like the Barley Script by Mans Greback. Today, I already use a warm and playful style like Kelloggs. This font is cool to me because I can relate it to my personal work, hand drawn titles and names in my films. I do this to allow the viewers to feel more emotions as they see organic hand drawn letters.
