Froot Loops

The typeface used for froot loops is an all capital, low contrast, sans serif font.

Froot loops are a popular fruit flavoured breakfast cereal that is marketed towards children. This is evident from the bright colours of the cereal and the mascot of the cereal which is a cartoon toucan. I believe that this is a warm typeface because it seems informal. It is on a curved plane and the stress appears to differ from letter to letter, giving it a handmade look. Additionally, the font is very round and bold. The o's are replaced with froot loops, adding colour to the type and making the product stand out. Having a variety of colours in the same logo also adds to its informality and adds a childlike playfulness.

A warm typeface seems to be effective while marketing to children because it is inviting and fun. Additionally, I will keep in mind this logo as an example of a font that is warm and informal by skewing the stress of the letters and making them follow a curve rather than a straight line.
