Tantric Way
The book "The Tantric Way" is one that employs a popular grid system often used in books. With 3/4 of the page used for the main content and 1/4 of the page used as a space for notes and captions, the grid allows the reader to stay engaged with the content and creates a smooth flow between each paragraph. There don't seem to be any set rows, size of the Image takes precedence over fixed rows.
The typeface used is Times New Roman in 10pt,  and the text has leading that is slightly wider than we usually see. This allows a little breathing space but does not create holes that distract the reader. While Image and text share the same columns, they are cleanly separated, and a clear visual hierarchy is portrayed through the grid.
What is more interesting is the grid systems used in the images. The creators of the art lived three thousand years ago, and still managed to utilize the grid system in their visual composition. This 'subjective organization' goes to show how grids have been utilized for millennia to portray information with clarity.
Both the book grid and the grids in the images give insight into ways of organization, and I plan to implement the grid system, not only in typesetting and book design but also my compositions of visual art.
