Swag

This "Boutique SWAG CITY" storefront in the Plaza Côte-des-Neiges sports an unforgiving "Joe College Letter Sweater NF" typeface on top of a highly contrasted city skyline background. The storefront achieves a mercilessly attention-grabbing attitude.

The target market for this store is for folks who have lots of swag and who require clothing that matches and even compliments their swag. The light outline on the already light text makes for a perfect message, one that says: "hey, WE didn't put any thought into our sign... why put any thought into YOUR clothes?"

This sign has provided a sense of appreciation for its unapologetically apparent development of typographic layout; visible construction lines, as it were. I will definitely be taking this overarching method into my typographic process.
