The typeface used is Times New Roman, a serif font.

The book is Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman, a collection of "short fictions and illusions". The collection of short stories is targeted towards young adults to adults interested in fantasy, horror, and the works of Neil Gaiman.

The use of Times New Roman is common in literature. It is crisp and clean and thus allows the reader to immerse themselves in the story. The layout emphasizes page use but the leading makes sure it doesn't feel cramped on the page. It is easy to distinguish between paragraphs and speaking roles. A lot of negative space is used as the work contains a lot of spoken lines, which need to be distinguished from regular narration. The running head on the left indicates the page number and the author's name while the running head on the right indicates the page number and the name of the short story, which is essential because the book is a collection of short stories and not one big story on its own.

This will influence my work as it taught me that the outside does not always have to be big and that more space on the page can be used without risking legibility and cohesion. I'll take inspiration from how the information is on the header and not on both the header and footer, which allows the text to go deeper down the page and leaves the folio and the running head on top.
