Old school grid
These are excerpts from the series of books created by optique photos on photography. Published in the early 1970's these super helpful books are for beginner photography/education purposes. In order to maintain this educative flow and vibe to the book, everything is organized the same throughout each page, kind of like a dictionary of photography.
Dividing the information into these grids makes it easy to understand what is going on. They are simplified and organized into these clean columns. As you flip through the pages, the images used are quite clear as to what is to be said. The author barely used title pages and used imagery instead. I like this simple and old school way of page layout. There is no need for anything complicated and wild to be done to these pages, all that is important are the useful tips. The grids do not draw from that attention. Adding headers and different font changes would create a distraction.
