Design du XXe siècle
| Design du XXe siècle, Taschen |
- Typeface classification: Humanist
- The object is a glossary on influential designers of the 20th century. In this context, information is laid out like an encyclopedia. Images and information are direct and factual.
- The type in this book is well chosen as it does not distract from the message. It's very unnoticeable and direct. The margins (2p5) are well proportioned for the size of the page (~7.6" x 5.6"). There is no exaggerated spaces nor is there too little space.
- I like the way the images are harmoniously integrated with the text. If I were to design a book with lots of images, I would definitely look at examples from this publication. The captions for the pictures are also nicely aligned and unobtrusive.
